Are you starting to bake and don’t know how to do it? Here you will find basic baking tips and tricks.
Study the recipe for cakes and desserts in advance
Give yourself time to think and experience the consequences of all the ingredients and baking supplies. In many recipes, butter or eggs are processed at room temperature, in some cases it is necessary to prepare the ingredients a day in advance or to wait a few hours. If you take this into account, nothing will surprise you or discourage you from baking.
Pay attention to the time when mixing and whipping
By properly mixing the butter or whipping the eggs, your sweet parts will get a softer, more supple and fluffier structure. Beat the egg yolk with the sugar until it acquires a light yellow to white color. The cream is good if the beater leaves a trail behind. To test the strength of the egg whites, turn the bowl you’re whipping in upside down. If the snow does not fall, it is solid enough. Don’t underestimate the kneading of the dough, which you use to introduce air into the dough and make the dough more fluffy.
How do you know when the cake is done?
The easiest way is to insert a toothpick into the center of the cake. If you pull it out dry, the cake is ready.
The color of the dough will also tell you. Until it takes on a golden hue, it has not been thoroughly baked and you should give it a few more minutes of baking time. But do you want to get 100% certainty? Then place your palm on top of the cake and press very gently. Baked dough will rise back up, unbaked dough will remain slightly deformed.
